Monroe — The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians is planning a fun family event: its first-ever Hibernian Leprechaun Hunt. Anyone who buys a licence for $5 will be able to hunt for leprechauns. If you find one, you will win one of more than 100 prizes. The hunt will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, the St. Brendan's Gaelic Football Club field opening celebration at 379 Seven Springs Rd. in Monroe. The family-friendly hunt is open to all ages. Proceeds will benefit Beautiful People, an organization that assists children with special needs, and Hibernian charities. The hunt is sponsored by LAOH Division 5 and AOH Division 1 of Orange County. For more information, call Briege Debold at 782-5247.
