Leo Kaytes Ford is a participating dealer in the state's electric car rebate program

WARWICK — Leo Kaytes Ford has become a participating dealer for the State of New York - Charge NY Drive Clean Rebate.
The rebate is for any New York resident or business who purchases or leases a new eligible vehicle like a Fusion Energi or a CMax Energi.
New York has allocated $55 million dollars to help New Yorker’s Drive Clean.
“Not only will a resident or business get the huge rebates and tax advantages but now on a Fusion Energi or CMax Energi you can get an additional $1,100 rebate from the state and apply it to your down payment," Leo R. Kaytes said in a press release detailing the rebate program. “We have been offering these great vehicles since 2013 and have two charging stations at the dealership for our customers convenience. It is important that we stay up with technology and convenience to our customers. Not only will you get great gas mileage but also great style and ride."
The base price for the CMax is $29,770 while the base price for the Fusion is $31,995.
As for mileage, the Fusion gets 42 miles per gallon with gasoline and 97 MPGe with all electric power.
The CMax gets 39 mpg with gas and 95 miles per MPGe with all electric power.
The vehicles can run on all gas, partial electric or all electric if fully charged.
The rebate program, announced by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, is designed to spur more electric car use in New York and help reduce carbon emissions.
