Lenten services begin Feb. 13

WARWICK — The Warwick Valley Ecumenical Council will host its annual series of Lenten luncheons every Wednesday beginning Feb. 13 through March 12 from noon to 1 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Warwick United Methodist Church on Forester Avenue. Each week, speakers will give a message out of their own tradition about the meaning of Jesus’ death. The schedule is: • Feb. 13: The Rev. Chris Yount of the Warwick United Methodist Church • Feb. 20: The Rev. Vernon Peters of the Union AME Church • Feb. 27: Clement Warren of the Bellvale Community • March 5: Father Patrick Buckley of St. Stephen’s Church. • March 12: The Rev. Elizabeth Williams of the Bellvale and Sugar Loaf United Methodist churches Tickets are $7 per person at the door and a nursery will be provided. For more information, call 986-1030.
