WARWICK - It’s the last of the free summer concerts at the Railroad Green Village Park for this season. And, if past performances are any indication, it’s also likely that the Big Band Swing Machine will draw another large crowd this Sunday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. Admission is free and everyone is invited. Since mid-June, numerous Town of Warwick free summer concerts have been held at the Railroad Green and Stanley-Deming Park, both in the Village of Warwick, as well as in the Village of Florida and at the new Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park in Greenwood Lake. The appearance of the Big Band Swing Machine this Sunday is not only the grand finale of the Warwick Summer Arts Festival, but it’s also expected to be a repeat of last year’s huge “block party” with friends and neighbors, all in a festive mood, coming together to enjoy the music. The Warwick Summer Arts Festival is made possible with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts. The Festival is presented in cooperation with the Town of Warwick, the Village of Warwick and Scheuermann Farm and Greenhouses. For contractual reasons, singer Dick Wells, will not appear this year as previously scheduled. However, the Big Band Swing Machine will feature a vocalist. Everyone is invited to bring their own lawn chairs or enjoy refreshments and seating at one of the nearby outdoor restaurants.
