Last chance to investigate Summer Sleuthing at Goshen Public Library
Goshen Adults are invited to come investigate Summer Sleuthing at Your Library programs at Goshen Public Library and Historical Society, during the week of Aug. 6. Admission is free to all programs. The Goshen Public Library Magical Mystery Tour runs through Aug. 8. Log on to goshenpubliclibrary.org to answer questions about the library. Calculating contestants with the most correct answers win a prize. The contest is open to Goshen Public Library adult patrons only and is limited to 50 participants. Register in person and pick up a contest sheet at the Circulation Desk. The lecture series concludes with Summer Sleuthing at Your Library: Local Unsolved Murders, to be held from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, in the library meeting room. Times Herald-Record police reporter Oliver Mackson and BCI investigators Terrence Mullen and John Vander Molen will talk about some famous local murder cases, which remain unsolved. Mystery Movie Madness, film fun for families, concludes on Thursday, Aug. 9, in the Library Meeting Room with “Murder By Death” (rated PG) from 6 to 7:45 p.m. “You are cordially invited to dinner and a murder ....” So begins an invitation sent to five detectives by an eccentric millionaire who is out to test the detectives’ investigative skills. Peter Falk stars in this Neil Simon comedy; snacks will be provided. No registration is required and admission is free.
