Kick off your Sunday shoes at Burke's "Footloose"

GOSHEN — The Burke Catholic Players are bringing one of the most exhilarating musicals to life this weekend as they perform "Footloose."
It's the story of Ren and his mom who move from Chicago to a small farming town. Ren knows it will be an adjustment, but he isn't prepared for the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher. The preacher's rebellious daughter has her sights on Ren, while others try to sabotage Ren's reputation.
It's a heartfelt story about a father longing for his son and a young man hurting for the father who walked out on him.
And the music is second to none. The Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score will have you dancing and singing when it's all over.
The performances will be Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 21 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. To reserve seats, call 845-294-5481, or buy them at the door.
