Keene Publishing authors to appear at Bethel Woods

    Warwick — Several of Keene Publishing of Warwick’s authors will appear at The Bethel Woods Harvest Wine Festival, held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday from late August to Columbus Day. The festival features a farmers market, craft village, live performances, corn and hay mazes and pony rides. Each week offers a new theme or special event. The Keene authors will discuss and sign copies of their books: • Sunday, Aug. 26 - James Magee, author of “To Serve and Protect,” a suspense/thriller set in Goshen and Washington, D.C. • Sunday, Sept. 23 - Alan Lewis, author of “I Grew Up On A Farm,” a children’s book, recently nominated for a Charlotte Award, about warm home life on a Middletown farm in the 1950s • Sunday, Oct. 7 - James Magee, “To Serve and Protect” encore presentation “This is a wonderful opportunity to meet local authors, talk to them about their books and the writing process, and at the same time, explore the glorious Bethel Woods Arts Center,” stated Diane Tinney, publisher, Keene Books. “We welcome everyone to attend.” Founded in 2002, Keene Publishing, the only independent general trade book publisher in Orange County, has published books in the fiction, nonfiction, business, local history, young adult, and, under the Moo Press imprint, children’s fiction and nonfiction categories at a rate of about four to six books a year.
