CENTRAL VALLEY —The Junior League of Orange County (JLOC) will host its fourth annual signature fund raiser, “A Night at the Races,” on Friday, May 2, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Inn At Central Valley. “A Night at the Races” is an evening of betting on 10 pre-recorded thoroughbred races projected on a large screen with a live professional caller. Tickets for RACES 2008 are $65 per person or $625 for a table of 10 and include betting bucks, butlered hors d’oeuvres, carving stations, hot buffet, cookies/pastries, and refreshments. “‘A Night at the Races’ is always held the first Friday of May to coincide with the historic Kentucky Derby which runs the very next day - has become our signature fundraiser,” said Mary Ann Marrero, JLOC President. “We’re gratified that so many in the community attend each year to show their support for the good work that Junior League does for children and their families in Orange County.” Proceeds benefit Junior League of Orange County’s programs that focus on pediatric obesity and childhood nutrition.
