Junior League to hold ‘Fall Fling'

    Newburgh —The Junior League of Orange County will host its “Fall Fling,” the league’s annual wine and food party, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, at Yellow Bird Gallery, 19 Front St., Newburgh This social “friend-raiser,” as the league calls it, will feature hors d’oeuvres by Main Course Catering and “flowing wine.” Guests will be treated to a silent auction, featuring items like tickets to the Broadway musical “Wicked,” complete with a backstage tour and signed show poster. The riverfront gallery setting will display contemporary artwork by local artists. The Fall Fling committee is chaired by Kathi Webber and includes Pamela Kelly Day, Gena O’Brien, Jean Townsend, and Noreen Fennell. “We’re excited to carry on JLOC’s Fling tradition,” said Webber. “This party is a great opportunity for the men and women in our community to mix and mingle plus raise money for the many outreach programs of Junior League.” Tickets are $35 per person in advance or $40 per person at the door.
