Junior League scholarship deadline is May 15

MIDDLETOWN — May 15 is the deadline for applications for the Junior League of Orange County’s two annual $500 college scholarships, to be awarded at its annual dinner on June 3. The first scholarship is available to a female student graduating from an Orange County high school who is entering college in the fall on a full-time basis. The graduating senior must show volunteer involvement with a focus on women’s and children’s issues. The second scholarship is available to any female Orange County resident 21 years of age or older who will be returning to college in the fall on a full-time basis. She must show volunteer involvement with a focus on women’s and children’s issues. Applications are available at all Orange County high school Guidance offices or by contacting Stacey Hawkins at 565-8532.
