WARWICK — Jubilate, the Hudson Valley’s community youth choir, will hold its spring concert on Sunday, June 9, at 4 p.m. at Christ Church, 50 South St. in Warwick.

The concert marks the end of the choir’s seventh season. It also will be a farewell performance for eight graduating high school seniors.

Suggested donation is $10. A light reception will follow the performance.

Meanwhile, there is excitement on the horizon: A portion of the choir will participate in the “Sing A Mile High International Children’s Choral Festival” from June 27 to July 1 in Denver, Colorado. This is the choir’s first long-distance choral experience for members.

Jubilate members hail from Blooming Grove, Central Valley, Chester, Florida, Goshen, Hewitt, N.J., Highland Mills, Monroe, Pine Island, Sugar Loaf, Tuxedo Park and Warwick.

Jubilate (pronounced yoo-bih-LAH-tey) is directed by David Crone and Steven Wing, both teachers at Monroe-Woodbury. Jubilate has various choirs: treble, small ensemble, young men’s, and SATB (choir for soprano, alto, tenor and bass). The choir has performed at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall; with the Classic Choral Society and the Greater NY Wind Symphony; and at numerous houses of worship and local events.
