Join the walk to fight arthritis

    Sign up for 2006 Arthritis Walk on May 13 Middletown — The New York Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation is calling for people to take action against arthritis by participating in the 2006 Arthritis Walk on Saturday, May 13, at Orange County Community College in Middletown. Featuring both a three-mile and one-mile course to accommodate different levels of fitness, the walk will be one of 400 held nationwide during National Arthritis Month. Arthritis, the number one cause of disability in the United States, affects 66 million Americans, or one out of three adults, and approximately 300,000 children. In New York State, arthritis affects more than 4.6 million people. “Joining the Arthritis Walk will raise awareness and funds for arthritis advocacy, research, and patient services,” said Middletown Arthritis Walk Honoree Jodi Vandervoort.
