Jeepers, Creepers and Crawlers' invades museum

CORNWALL-The Museum of the Hudson Highlands will host “Jeepers, Creepers and Crawlers” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Kenridge Farm picnic area on Route 9W in Cornwall. Millipedes, cockroaches, and tarantulas can be fascinating creatures. Before visitors can get “spooked” by any of their creeping and crawling, they will learn how these animals can coordinate hundreds of legs, live for days without food, and walk right out of their own “skin”. Included is a creepy craft for children to take home. The event, open to all ages, is part a series of interactive educational programs about the science and nature of the Hudson Highlands. An educator from the museum will begin with a discussion and move on to a hands-on activity. General admission is $5 for children and $7 for adults. Museum member’s fee is $2 for children and $3 for adults. For more information, call 534-5506 ext. 204.
