jazz musicians join together for new Festival

| 15 Feb 2012 | 08:35

The Warwick Valley Jazz Festival from Aug. 18 to 21 pulls together a growing jazz community and an expanding local music scene. The festival is produced by Warwick musician Steve Rubin as a collective umbrella, where several venues that already offer jazz come together with new participants to make a four-day festival. Most shows are free, and the music, ranging from big band to funk, will play outdoors on Railroad Aveune on the Green, a bookstore, and other settings throughout Warwick.
