Jazz duo plays Florida library on Dec. 9

Florida - The Jazz duo of Joe Karr and Bill Pernice will perform works by classic American songwriters like Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Cole Porter on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m., at the Florida Public Library. Karr, the vocalist as well as a talented guitar player, has performed in Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, where his performances received favorable reviews from the New York Times. Pernice, the keyboardist, has been playing the piano all his life and now teaches music at the Green Meadow Waldorf School. He has toured the United States with the Heaven on Earth Ensemble and recently completed his first solo CD. Space is limited; to register, call the Florida Public Library at 651-7659.
