Irish Night at the Beach

— The luring sound of bagpipes will linger over the lake and a talented group of musicians and dancers will be on hand to perform at Irish Night at the Beach sponsored by the Greenwood Lake Gaelic Society this Saturday, Aug. 24, at 7:30 p.m. The event takes place at the Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park (at the end of Windermere Avenue) in the heart of Greenwood Lake.

Part of the village's Summer Concert Series, Irish Night at the Beach will feature a wide variety of music and entertainment including crowd favorite Billy Keenan, vocalist Maire McVicker, as well as Irish step dancers and bag pipers.

Admission is free. Irish soda bread and soft drinks will be available for sale. There will also be a 50/50 and basket raffles.

In the event of rain, Irish Night will be held at the American Legion, Arthur Finnegan Post, 40 Mountain Lakes Lane, Greenwood Lake.

Blanket Boss, Emerald Point Restaurant & Marina, J6 Construction, Irish Whisper, Murphy's Tavern and Waterstone Inn are sponsors of this annual event.
