Irish Day at Greenwood Lake

Irish Day was held Sunday, March 3, at the Greenwood Lake American Legion. It was the premier kickoff event to St. Patrick’s Day in the Hudson Valley (the parade steps off at 2 p.m. in Goshen on Sunday). The Mid-Hudson Parade Committee and the Greenwood Lake Gaelic Cultural Society sponsored the event. Dancers from the McLoughin School of Irish Dancing under the direction of James Early performed. Classes are held in Florida and Cornwall. There were 14 dancers, ages 4 to 21 years; the Orange County Pipe Band played.
