Village of Goshen Bicentennial, 1809-2009 Goshen — Everyone who loves Goshen is invited to a community brainstorming session from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, at the Goshen Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. The bicentennial of the village incorporation will be in 2009. At the meeting, members of the community can volunteer to help with one of the events suggested so far, including a grand ball, a history of transportation parade, a recreation of Goshen’s 1841 County Fair, and educational events. They may also suggest other activities, or just come to see what’s in the works. “Wear your volunteer hat, organization hat, business hat or good citizen hat, but do come,” say co-chairs Doris and Ken Obremski. Other committee members include: secretary, Cecile Ayres; treasurer, Rolly Peacock; and board members Michelle Figliomeni, Mary-Gray-Griffith, and Scott Wohl. For more information, call the Obremskis at 294-9241 or e-mail them at kdobremski@hvc.rr.com.
