Inspiration in Imagery'

Goshen The County Executive Suite Gallery, in Goshen, is hosting Inspiration in Imagery, an exhibition of juried photographs by members of the Hudson Highlands Photo Workshop, through March 27. The Hudson Highlands Photo Workshop consists of a mix of serious amateur, semi-professional, and professional photographers who gather to share information, ideas and individual creativity. At monthly meetings, usually held in Chester, programs are presented on different aspects of photography. Members have the opportunity to confer with their peers, stay abreast of the latest developments in the field, and have their work critiqued by others in an effort to share knowledge, improve skills, and grow as artists. A wide variety of photographic equipment is used by the group including digital 35mm, medium, and large format cameras. Printing mediums include black and white, color, hand tinting, and computer imaging. County Executive Edward A. Diana said, “Inspiration in Imagery is an eclectic show featuring the great talent possessed by this group. It is wonderful to see an organization dedicated to fostering all levels and media of photographic art.” The exhibit is located in the Orange County Government Center on the third floor, and open to the public during business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Artists living in Orange County, who are interested in exhibiting in the Executive Suite Gallery, should call Orange Arts at 291-2136 for more information.
