Illustrious Theatre to hold auditions for one-act plays
Warwick The Illustrious Theatre Company, in residence at the Warwick Valley Winery in Warwick, will hold auditions for its upcoming one-act play festival. Auditions will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Warwick Town Hall at 132 Kings Highway ; and at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Warwick Valley Winery at 114 Little York Road in Pine Island. The audition will consist of readings from scripts. Actors are sought for: “Before Nightfall,” a drama by Beverly Wallace, requires a man in his 60’s or 70’s, and a woman in her 40’s; “Fifteen Minutes,” a comedy by Dave DeChristopher, requires four women, ages 20 to 50, and one man in his 30’s; “Enjoying Your Fame,” a black comedy by Jed Downey, requires three men, ages 20 to 40, and one woman, age 20 to 30; “Coffee with God,” a serio-comic piece by Kal Wagenheim, requires one man in his 30’s or 40’s, two men in their 40’s and up, and two women in their 20’s. Production dates are Friday through Sunday, Feb. 24 to 26, at the Warwick Valley Winery, and Friday through Sunday, March 10 to 12, at Tristate Actors Theater in Sussex, N.J.
