Illustrious Theatre Company seeks directors
WARWICK-The Illustrious Theatre Company, in residence at the Warwick Valley Winery, has just closed its second successful season with an outdoor production of "Much Ado About Nothing" as part of its Shakespeare in the Orchard series. The company is now seeking directors for its upcoming 2004-2005 season. Actors and backstage and technical staff also are encouraged to contact the company, as the ITC is always looking to expand its talent pool. The projected season includes a special event at the winery on Nov. 12 and 13 entitled "Whose Wine Is It Anyway?" It is an evening of improvisational comedy loosely based upon the popular television program "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" The evening will showcase the improv talents of some of our company's funniest performers. Proceeds will benefit next summer's Shakespeare production. The company also plans a production of the comedy, "Fuddy Meers," for February and another play in April to be announced. Shows under consideration for next summer's "Shakespeare in the Orchard" series include "Romeo and Juliet," "Twelfth Night" or "As You Like It". Directors and anyone else interested in becoming a part of Illustrious Theatre should contact Mary Clifford, artistic director, at (973) 764-4936 or theitc@warwick.net.
