Book donations requested for sale Goshen — The Friends of the Goshen Public Library is offering some cool treats at its annual ice cream social, to be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, on the library lawn at 203 Main Street. The family-friendly band Squeaky Clean will return this year, playing favorites from the ‘60s and ‘70s. The rain date is Friday, June 29. On the following weekend, stock up on beach reading at rock-bottom prices. The book sale, to be held in conjunction with the Great American Weekend street fair, will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 30. Anyone who wishes to donate books may bring them to the library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays in June and at the book sale. Or contact Joy Palazzola 294-0149 for special arrangements.
