I read the news today:

GREENWOOD LAKE — The Greenwood Lake Public Library will welcome author and bassist Barry Wiesenfeld on Sunday, Oct. 28, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., to present “The Beatles: 50 Years Later.”
The Beatles have been referred to as “one of the most transforming entities of 20th century music, changing the course of popular music forever.”
What made them such a strong force that they’re still popular now, more than 50 years later?
This program will explore the phenomenon that is The Beatles – their growth, originality, musical innovations and lyric depth.
Wiesenfeld is a freelance musician, a published author and is on the music faculty of SUNY and Ramapo College.
He has accompanied Grammy-winning artists, performed on three continents and has played on numerous recordings, radio and TV.
In addition to the Beatles, Wiesenfeld also presents an introductory lecture series entitled, “How Music Works,” which explores the components of music and how they all fit together.
