Hundreds expected June 3 at picnic to promote life after cancer
Middletown Orange Regional Medical Center’s Tucker Center for Cancer Care and Citizens Reunited to Overcome Cancer (CROC) will host the 4th annual National Cancer Survivor’s Day Picnic in the Park on Sunday, June 3 at Thompson Memorial Park (Circleville Park) in Circleville from noon p.m. to 4 p.m., and is free to cancer survivors and their families. Carrie Lindsay, cancer survivor and executive coordinator at CROC says, “This is a wonderful yearly event where we celebrate life, family and friends. The barbeque never turns off, the live music keeps everyone energized and there will be games and activities for children and adults.” Rob Lee, executive director of public relations and marketing at Orange Regional Medical Center says, “At this picnic, hundreds of people have been touched in some way by cancer will have the opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled day with their families and caregivers. The common bond that unites everyone who has been affected by cancer is so strong. Orange Regional is proud to be a part of what is sure to be a terrific event.” This event is rain or shine.
