Hudson Valley Performing Arts Foundation to host Performing Arts College Fair on Sept. 30

CENTRAL VALLEY — The Hudson Valley Performing Arts Foundation will host its seventh annual Performing Arts College Fair, gathering some of the top colleges and conservatories in the country under one roof on Sunday, Sept. 30, at Monroe-Woodbury High School.
The fair will be followed by the season premier of the New York Wiind Symphony.
The college fair begins at 12:30 p.m.
To complement the fair, the foundation is hosting a panel session entitled “The Right Fit.” The panel will be chaired by representatives from Temple University’s Boyer College, the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and the Peabody Conservatory.
The panel session and college fair are free and open to the public.
A celebration of Bernstein's CentennialAt 3 p.m., the New York Wind Symphony’s 29th season begins with a Leonard Bernstein Centennial Celebration. The symphony will be performing Overture to Candide and Symphonic Dances from West Side Story.
Opening the concert will be a special performance by the Hudson Valley Honors Youth Concert Band and Wind Ensemble.
