Hudson Highlands Nature Museum offers turkey tales on Nov. 13

Cornwall — Learn all about wild turkeys on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m., when the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum presents “Turkey Tales” at the Outdoor Discovery Center on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road in Cornwall. Environmental Educator Carl Heitmuller will share information and fun facts including why the turkey was once nominated to become our national symbol. Find out about the turkey’s natural history and interesting adaptations. After the presentation join Carl on a guided hike to search for signs of wild turkeys (weather permitting.) Make a fun turkey craft to take home. This program is recommended for adults with or without children and children ages 5 and up. Admission: $5 per person; museum members: $3 per person.
