Hudson Highlands Nature Museum hosts beekeeping workshop on Jan. 15

Cornwall — The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum will presenting an introductory course on beekeeping on Sunday, Jan. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at its Outdoor Discovery Center on Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Road in Cornwall. This four hour program, led by apiculturist Darren Fogarty and environmental educator Pam Golben, will provide information including basic bee biology, where to order bees, what you need to get started, common problems and what actual hives look like. This course requires pre-paid registration and is recommended for adults and children ages 15 and up. Admission: $55. Museum Members: $45. Please bring a bag lunch.
