How to tackle spring planting

Chester A free program on spring planting will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 28, at the Chester Public Library, 1784 Kings Highway in Chester. Liza Rudneva and Sheila Kern, Master Gardener volunteers with the Cornell Cooperative Extension, will show gardeners how to prepare their soil and select plants for the planting season. They will show how to minimize weeds and how to select the right plants for the right location and add variety to gardens. To register, call the library at 469-4262.
