WARWICK - The St. Anthony Community Hospital Auxiliary (SACHA) 35th annual June “Under the Tent” Party will be held Saturday, June 17, from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Hickory Hill Golf Club. The theme of this year’s June Party is “Country and Western” and although guests are welcome to come in any casual or more formal attire they desire, those who are creative and wish to dress in a costume in tune with this year’s theme are encouraged to do so. The “Grand Ole SACHA” party committee’s suggestions range from Buffalo Bill Cody to Dolly Parton. “We selected this theme,” said Terry Gavan, president of SACHA, “because guests can dress in jeans and have a fun evening in an outdoor setting with country style food and drinks, music, entertainment and even line dancing.” Seating for the June Party will again be under the traditional “tent” and guests will enjoy an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner and gourmet desserts. J&N Music, last year’s popular DJ, will return to provide the music for dancing. There will also be entertainment, a silent auction, prizes, surprises and lots of fun. Raffle tickets, currently on sale, offer an opportunity to win any one of 10 cash prizes and jewelry. The grand prize is $1,000 donated by Provident Bank. Gavan and Jane Gyulavary, SACHA’s vice president membership, will co-chair this year’s event. The entire proceeds from the June Party will be used to help support St. Anthony Community Hospital, a non-profit hospital providing emergency, medical, surgical, obstetrical/gynecological acute care services to residents of southern Orange County, New York and Sussex and Passaic Counties in New Jersey. Last year, the sold out event raised more than $20,000 for the purchase of new equipment for the hospital. Since its inception, SACHA has raised and contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to St. Anthony Community Hospital for special projects and for the purchase of specific equipment. The organization has pledged to every capital campaign and when the officers and members are between SACHA fund raisers, many offer their time and expertise to help out at other hospital fundraising events such as the Annual Spring Ball and the Annual Golf Classic. Tickets, which entitle guests to five hours open bar, dinner, entertainment, dancing and dessert are only $55 per person and may be obtained by contacting Margie Meier-Berry at (845) 986-1882.
