Horse and carriage rides

Jason Blenis, owner of Forgotten Works Carriage Co., is back for the holiday season. Thanks to John Christison, owner of Yesterday’s, 29 Main St., Blenis will be offering horse and carriage rides outside the restaurant on weekends until Christmas. Blenis is about as experienced at this as you can get. He grew up on a beef cattle and dairy farm and he worked on a ranch in Montana, farmed hay and crops in New York and New Jersey, rode bulls and trained horses. There’s a charge of $20 per group (usually four people) for a 20- to 30-minute ride around the village. The money goes to Carriage Works to pay for time, transportation from Pennsylvania and boarding the horse at a local farm. (Photo by Roger Gavan)
