Holy Myrrhbearers to perform at West Point tonight

    West Point — West Point’s Department of Foreign Languages will present a formal concert featuring The Holy Myrrhbearers Women’s Choir, on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cadet Chapel. The Holy Myrrhbearers Women’s Choir was formed in 1998 at the Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Virgin Protection in Nyack, in response to an idea for women to sing and participate in the annual services for the Holy Myrrh-bearing Women. These were the female apostles who followed and served Christ during His earthly ministry, and who were the first to witness to His Resurrection from the dead.
