Florida — Amity Arts Pottery will host a holiday sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 480 Route 17A in Florida. The sale will include the work of potter and sculptor Judy Duboff, as well as the work of eight of her students, who she states are accomplished artists in their own right. A visit to the shop will reveal a variety of work in progress from her students, as well as Duboff’s newest work, which ranges from simple folk pottery to elaborate stoneware fountains. Duboff strives to offer a creative environment for people of all ages in her pottery workshops. She also offers art therapy workshops for children, teenagers, adults, and families, for which no artistic talent is necessary, only a willingness to participate. Duboff has a masters degree in art therapy from New York University, and her approach can be used both as primary therapy and in conjunction with other therapeutic approaches. She is currently a consultant for the Mental Health Association of Orange County. For more information about classes or about custom pottery, call 651-1170 or visit www.amityarts.com.
