A summer camp for kids, ages 9-11, will be held on July 23-25 at Baird’s Tavern in the Village of Warwick, culminating with George Washington Day on July 26 at Lewis Park. For those who enroll for three half-day morning sessions, their days will be enriched by hands-on activities, visiting local historical sites and learning from historians to gain a better understanding of Warwick’s rich local history. This program is sponsored by the Warwick Historical Society and made possible through grants from the Orange County Historians’ Office and Provident Bank Charitable Foundation. For more information, call Pat Reinhardt, retired Warwick Valley teacher and coordinator of the event, at 987-8508. Registration begins May 1. She is pictured, at right, with Betty Hurd.
