Historical Society’s annual wine party set for June 2

WARWICK — On Sunday, June 2, from 4 to 6 p.m., the public is invited to join the Warwick Historical Society under the flowering trees of Lewis Park to sample selected wines from celebrity vineyards from around the world. Each selection will be paired with perfectly complimentary cheeses, both domestic and imported.
An example of one of the wines that Peck’s Wine & Spirits has chosen for the public to sample that day, is Bocelli Prosecco, a bubbly bursting with peach and mineral aroma’s and hand-harvested from Andrea Bocelli’s small family owned estate in Italy.
All of the wines from the estate are produced and selected personally by Andrea and partner/brother Alberto - just as their ancestors have done for 130 years before them.
Others wines to be featured on June 2 are:
Sophia Rose (Sophia Coppola/film director and winemaker; daughter of Francis Ford Coppola).
Marilyn Monroe Sauvignon Blanc (owned by the actress’ estate).
Calling All Angels Chardonnay (music group Train).
Ernie Els Big Easy Blend (golfer).
Ed Hardy Sangria (tattooist/clothes designer).
Anta Banderas Temperanillo (Antonio Banderas/actor)
Dreaming Tree Cabernet Sauvignon (Dave Matthews Band)
Warwick’s own jazz guitarist Michael Jackson will entertain. The ticket price is $30 per person and can be paid for at the door.
In case of rain, the event will be held in the Buckbee Center.
