Warwick - High School History Club members will be serving the food at the Warwick Historical Society’s annual ‘Under the Tent’ party and benefit to be held on Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Society’s Lewis Park on Main Street from 6 to 9 p.m. The theme of this year’s party is “Good Ole Country Fun.” The event is being catered in part by Warwick resident Steve Pregiato, who operates and owns J & R Catering out of Suffern. The menu will feature “Good Ole Country Food:” pulled pork sandwiches, open-face sandwiches of shrimp and chicken salad, trays of meat balls, roast beef and horseradish delicacies. Tickets are $50 per person and are available by calling the society office at 845-986-3236, dropping by the Baird Tavern office on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., or visiting the Web site at www.warwickhistoricalsociety.org. This is the major fund raiser of the Warwick Historical Society and all money collected from ticket sales goes directly into the preservation of Warwick’s seven museum buildings and parks. “Come on out to dance with the Glory Bound Band, gather with your neighbors, and have a bite to eat and a cold drink while you support your community,” said the Society’s director, Sybil H. Skinner.
