WARWICK — The Albert Wisner Public Library will host Chester Historian Clifton Patrick and researcher Ginny Privitar on Sunday, March 4, at 1 p.m., to discuss the enslavement of Native Americans here in Orange County in the early colonial period.
They will present evidence discovered by Ray Decker, give context of the times, and further research inspired by this discovery.
Why is the story of Indians as slaves so scarce in the historical record?
