The Warwick Historical Society will dedicate the Baird’s Tavern Education Center, offer tours of Baird’s Tavern and commemorate the Revolutionary soldier with a covered-dish supper in Lewis Park at the society’s annual George Washington Day on Saturday, July 28. The program begins at 5 p.m.; family activities will take place in the park from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Residents are asked to bring their own covered dish; society members will provide paper products and soft drinks. On July 24, 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. to noon, the Historical Society will offer programs for young people at Baird’s Tavern, such as exploring what it was like to be a Revolutionary soldier.
