OTISVILLE—An old time barn auction will be held on Saturday Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. (with a preview from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) at the Mt. Hope Historical Society in Otisville to auction art works and antiques. Organized by local artist Marie Liu, the art was created by artists painting at the Eleazor Harding House Museum and 12 other historical sites in the area throughout the summer. Cash and checks only. John Knuth will conduct this auction. This project intends to introduce artists to the The Eleazor Harding House Museum and its restored 1790 farm located on Old Mountain Road in Otisville. The other 12 sites include farms, historic homes, the D and H Canal, churches, rivers, a wildlife sanctuary and other museums. This project also intends to provide a means for the residents and organizations to meet local artists and to give the artists a venue to sell their locally inspired artworks. For more information, contact Anita Goldsmith at 386-2579 or Marie Liu at 386-3011.
