Warwick — Christ Church, Jubilate and the Warwick Historical Society invite the community to “A Festival of Lessons and Carols” on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 4 p.m. in the Old School Baptist Meeting House, located at Church and High Streets in Warwick. This reverent celebration consists of nine Bible readings foretelling and announcing Christ’s birth, interspersed with traditional Christmas music. It is based on the renowned King’s College service held annually in Cambridge, England, since 1918. The Christ Church choir and Jubilate, the Hudson Valley’s youth choir, will perform. This is Christ Church’s fifteenth annual celebration (and second time at this location) of this service, which lasts about an hour. Seating is limited; first-come, first-seated. A free-will donation is appreciated. For more information contact the church office at 845-986-3440 or visit the church’s web site at ChristChurch.org.
