Hispanic Heritage Month performances

Warwick — The Jubilee Presents Multi-Cultural Arts organization, will show “A Cultural Journey to the Latin Caribbean,” from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the event will take place at the Multi-Cultural Arts and Dance Center in Warwick. The performance will include a lecture, dance presentation and music. The Caribbean music will include bomba and plena styles. Dances will be performed by the “Jubilee Folkloric Dancers” with percussionist Geovanni Escalera. A sampling of Latin foods will also be served. Tickets are $15. The Multi-Cultural Arts and Dance Center is located at 87 Ronald Reagan Blvd. in Warwick. An additional event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is “Dance Folklorsimo - Masters Of The Dance,” a presentation of traditional dances and music of Georgia, Argentina and Spain, under the artistic direction of Victor Sirelson and Judy Battista. The show will take place at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Paramount Theater in Middletown. Tickets are $25, seniors $18. Call 346-4196 to reserve seats.
