Hilarious Farce, ‘Noises Off,' arrives at Playhouse

    MONROE-Creative Theatre's 2004 season continues with the opening of Michael Frayn's hilarious comedy, "Noises Off." Performances are scheduled for July 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th at 8 pm, a matinee performance on Sunday, July 11nd at 3 pm., and other Sunday performances on July 18th and 25th at 7 pm.  In addition, there will be a Thursday performance on July 22nd at 8 pm.  All performances are at The Playhouse at Museum Village, Route 17M, in Monroe.  Tickets to individual performances are $17 each, which includes dessert at intermission consisting of apple pie, ice cream, iced tea and coffee. Group rates are available and reservations are suggested. For more information, call the Box Office at 294-9465.  "Noises Off" is a farce written in the style of a play within a play.  Follow the on and off-stage antics of a touring company as they fumble from dress rehearsal to disastrous last night of their production of the sex comedy, "Nothing On." Everything that can go wrong does, as the cast desperately tries to hang on to their lines, their performances, and the furniture. The result in a hilarious descent into chaos. The production is under the direction of Steve Davis. The Stage Manager is Sarah Goldman.
