Helen Kelly will be honored this Saturday in Greenwood Lake

Parade and festivities begin at 11 a.m. Greenwood Lake - The Village of Greenwood Lake will hold Helen Kelly Day this Saturday, Oct. 13, in honor of the longtime resident. Helen Kelly Day has been declared in New York State, Orange County, the Town of Warwick and the Village of Greenwood Lake. The day will include a parade and celebration. The parade will line up 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church and conclude at a reviewing stand on Elks Drive. Step-off is at noon. Festivities will begin immediately after the parade. The event is open to the public. There will be music, entertainment, dancers and presentations. Food will be available from local businesses and the Greenwood Lake Elks. A final planning meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at the Greenwood Lake Elks Lodge. For parade information, call Agnes Kilduff, 477-2943.
