Have breakfast at the firehouse with Santa

    Trout Brook also selling trees and wreaths Monroe — The Trout Brook Engine and Hose Company will host its 15th annual “Breakfast with Santa” from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Dec. 16, at the firehouse, located on 712 Lakes Road (between Monroe and Greenwood Lake). Breakfast is buffet-style, all you can eat. The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, home fries, sausages, juice, and coffee, tea, and milk. The suggested donation is adults, $7; senior citizens and children, $5; and children under five years old, free. Bring your camera for your photo-op with Santa. The fire company will also be holding its annual Christmas tree sale. Trees range from table-top sizes to 10-feet-plus. White pine roping and wreaths will also be available. All trees and wreaths are fresh cut from New York State, so every purchase benefits not only the local fire company but helps farmers earn a living.
