Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame announces art contest

    Goshen - In support of Orange County Day, The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame presents the Orange County Artist's Showcase. A juried show and reception, open to Orange County artists of all ages, will be held on Friday, June 25. All artwork must represent the cultural or natural history of Orange County, New York. All mediums accepted. There will be separate categories for children and adults, with prizes awarded to the top selections in each category. Works will remain on view through Sunday, June 27. Registration for the Orange County Artist's Showcase will be open through 5p.m., Monday, June 21.. Artwork drop-off times are between 5 and 6 p.m. Thursday, June 24 and 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday, June 25. Work done on canvas or paper must be framed. Artists must also supply their own easel, base, and/or mounting stand. Submit only one entry per artist. Two receptions will be held on Friday, June 25.
