‘Halloween Hoedown'

    Goshen — The Goshen Farmers’ Market, held every Friday during the summer at Village Square in Goshen, will conclude on Friday, Oct. 27, with its “Halloween Hoedown” from noon to 5 p.m. The band Mighty Girl will perform from noon to 2 p.m. Other special events include a pumpkin-carving demonstration with Kasha Bialas at 2:30 p.m.; guess-the-weight and win-the-biggest pumpkin contest (pumpkins donated by S&S Orchards) at 3:30 p.m.; and a costume parade (not a contest) around the monument at 4 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to come in costume, trick-or-treat from the vendors, and then follow the Pumpkin Trail into town. Merchants displaying a smiling pumpkin will host trick-or-treaters all day Friday, Oct. 27, and Tuesday, Oct. 31. n Concert today The Robert Kopec Trio will bring its upbeat jazz stylings to the Goshen Farmers’ Market from noon to 2 p.m. in a concert today, Friday, Oct. 13. The concert was rescheduled from Sept. 15 due to rainy weather. Kopec has shared the stage with Hal Galper, Eddie Bert, Hugh Brodie, and many others.
