GWL Public Library expands its free family fun passes to the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

GREENWOOD LAKE — The Greenwood Lake Public Library has added the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum Complex to the list of free family fun passes available to resident patrons.
This new arrival joins a collection of fun and educational opportunities available to families throughout the year. The list includes:
• American Museum of Natural History (Central Park West and 79th St. in New York City);
• Brooklyn Botanic Garden (990 Washington Ave., Brooklyn);
• Mid-Hudson Children's Museum (75 N. Water St., Poughkeepsie);
• Motorcyclopedia (250 Lake St., Newburgh);
• Museum at Bethel Woods (200 Hurd Road, Bethel);
• Paley Center for Media (25 W. 52nd St., New York City); and
• Storm King Art Center (1 Museum Road, New Windsor).
In the coming months, the library will also be adding The Frick Collection (1 East 70th St., New York City) to the list of free passes.
Beach passesMeanwhile, free daily beach passes to the Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park (7 Windermere Ave.) are also available to resident patrons during the summer months.
Rules for check-out apply for all: photo ID and Greenwood Lake library card required, three-day loan period ($10 overdue late fee per pass per day), no renewals or reservations (patrons must come in person to checkout).
Patrons may borrow beach passes multiple times; however, they must wait two weeks between each checkout.
Intrepid passesThe Intrepid includes admission for six people to the museum itself as well as the Space Shuttle Pavilion. The Space Shuttle Pavilion showcases the space shuttle Enterprise, the prototype NASA orbiter that paved the way for the space shuttle program.
There are also 17 dynamic exhibit zones featuring original artifacts, photographs, audio, and films of the science and history of Enterprise and the space shuttle era.
The Liberty Science Center continues to offer a three percent discount per library patron (or a 10 percent off the purchase of a household membership) by presenting library card at the box office.
