GWL Library’s artist of the month

GREENWOOD LAKE — Artist Leila Noueihed, will be exhibiting her works at the Greenwood Lake Public Library Works of Art Gallery now through Saturday, Nov. 24.

Noueihed is a resident of Ringwood, N.J. Her exhibit, “The Flip Side,” is a collection of paintings, mostly of landscapes. She is an adjunct professor in the Science Department at City University of New York.

Noueihed is also a medical research scientist, as well as a pharmacist. Her education is French, Russian and American.

She is a self-taught, experimental artist, and enjoys painting in all mediums, mainly acrylic, as she enjoys many genres of art, especially post impressionists.

After joining the Warwick Art League, she was encouraged to explore her artistic self and discovered new ways of painting. She’s a member of the Ringwood Manor Art Association, where she served as publicity director.. She regularly participates in local art festivals, including St. Catherine of Bologna’s annual exhibition in Ringwood, as well as participates in many Art-on-the-Green events at various locations.
