GWL library host program on ‘War Dogs — Four-legged Heroes’

GREENWOOD LAKE — The Greenwood Lake Public Library’s “Learn @ Your Library” lecture series presents “Memorial Day Tribute: War Dogs—Four-legged Heroes” with Carolann Puzio on Thursday, May 31.

The program runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Animal advocate and pet lover, Puzio discusses the war history of these four-legged heroes at this multi-media presentation. Topics covered will be the important role that military and stray canines have as companions to the soldier’s tour of duty.

Puzio is a certified therapy dog handler. Her interest in rescue animals has sparked a passion for animal research outreach projects. She has led several lectures at local venues, including the Greenwood Lake Public Library.

Registration is required for this free adult program either in person or by telephone at 845-477-8377 ext. 101. Young adults (Grades 9 and up) are also invited. Seating is limited; early registration suggested.

The library is located at 79 Waterstone Road in Greenwood Lake.
