Guided Discovery Quest Tours' at local museum

Cornwall Join a Quest Ranger at the Hudson Highlands Museum’s Outdoor Discovery Center, for an opportunity to go on a “Guided Discovery Quest Tour”at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, 23 and 30. The museum’s “Discovery Quests” are tours where riddles and clues move visitors along the trails learning about nature as they go. These three Sundays, the Quest Ranger will lead groups from post-to-post along the Woodland Quest trail. The Woodland Quest is a path of tree identification and animal habitats of the tree canopy and forest floor. It is a moderate trail with a few short hilly sections. The museum’s Executive Director, Jackie Grant says, “The Discovery Quests are an answer to those who say people don’t get out into nature anymore.’ We are excited to offer this unique outdoor experience designed for people of all ages to do together.” Come solve puzzles and rhymes in the Quest Guidebooks and learn as you go. Comfortable shoes are suggested. Bring a backpack with water and snacks. This program is recommended for adults and children ages 5 and up. Adults and children are $3; members are free.
