Greenwood Lake Public Library to hold reception for photographer

GREENWOOD LAKE — As part of the Works of Art Gallery, local photographer Mark Thomas Insetta will be exhibiting his photography at the Greenwood Lake Public Library through the month of September 2006. The exhibit will run until Sunday, Sept. 27. A “Meet the Artist” reception will be held at the library on Saturday, Sept. 16th, from 1 to 3 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Light refreshments will be served. Insetta is a resident of Greenwood Lake. His one-person show, “Raising the Roof,” is a collection of photographic images of the orphaned children of Kampala, Uganda, who are victims of poverty, war, and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. A school, The Future Victory School, has been built and fundraising is currently underway for the construction of a roof. Donations of school supplies, old/broken cell phones, and new or gently used children’s clothing (ages 5-16) are currently being accepted at the library.
